Indy SX III: Injury keeps Sexton out of action

Honda’s Chase Sexton will not return for this weekend’s third Indianapolis Monster Energy Supercross round.

The youngster crashed heavily at Houston and has not been seen since as he has a contusion and strain of the right rotator cuff and scapula, which is a complicated thing to treat.

“Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton continues to rehabilitate the shoulder he injured in the Houston 2 crash and will not be at the final round in Indianapolis, but he is feeling better and the new target return is Orlando 1,” said a team statement.

It is not yet known whether team-mate Jett Lawrence will be in action this weekend as he suffered two big accidents on Tuesday.
