Arlington SX: ‘I’m not just going to be one and done.’ – Justin Barcia
Troy Lee Designs Gas Gas rider Justin Barcia had a great result in Texas this evening, keeping up the consistent Justin Barcia we have seen over the last few rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross.
“I like it! I like a good tight battle with racing and the aggressive stuff, I was just kind of in my own zone tonight making passes and felt super comfortable with the bike so all good I’m very happy.” Explained Barcia on how he found the first Arlington round.
“You want to have that base like Cooper said really, and I kind of got away from that in Daytona a little bit, it’s such a unique place, but this week in a home setting I’ve just been fine tuning here and there today, so Im looking forward to the next couple of rounds they will be good for me.”
“Tonight was very special for us, our boss from Austria was here, so that’s super awesome to get second and make him proud in front of thee Texas fans. The track was super challenging and I pushed hard and closed on Cooper a little but I just couldn’t make it happen, he rode really well. I’m looking forward to the next two rounds here, I’m going to push it hard and try to take another win.”
“Definitely I’m not just going to be one and done, I don’t really have any pressure on myself right now just go out there and do my best, tonight if I could of started a little bit closer to the front for sure that would of helped me and put me in a good position, my speeds there the bikes good just need to put it in there.”
