MXGP Lommel: Valk grabs first WMX win
Netherlands rider Lynn Valk grabs her first win in the first WMX World Championship race in Lommel this saturday.
Larissa Papenmeier holeshotted the opening WMX Moto of the day in Lommel, with Shana Van Der List taking an early race lead as Papenmeier dropped her bike in one of the deep sandy corners which dropped her down to finish in tenth position.
Meanwhile previous race winner Bike IT MTX Kawasaki rider Courtney Duncan didn’t get a great start, and battled through the deep sand to finish in sixth place.
Multiple World Championship winner Kiara Fontanesi pushed her way through the pack on board her GasGas machine, and she got shoved wide for a few corners as she dropped a few places, but managed to pull it back to third position.
Meanwhile Netherlands native Lynn Valk grabbed a race win onboard her SKS Husqvarna machine for the first WMX race of the day.
