Co-forming the European Junior e-Motocross Series in 2021 together with Infront Moto Racing was such a highlight for GASGAS. When those 40 little shredders on e-powered dirt bikes zipped off the start line last September for round one, it was without doubt a super fun piece of dirt bike history. And with many racers competing on our innovative MC E-5, it was something we just knew we had to get involved in again in 2022!

Offering something truly unique, the European Junior e-Motocross Series gives all future MXGP superstars the chance to compete on the same circuit, on the same day, as their racing heroes! And what’s more, the format mirrors the FIM Motocross World Championship too. Starting with a timed qualifying session to determine gate pick for the two points-paying races that follow later in the day, the top three riders overall will then climb onto the podium after moto two to celebrate in style!

Kicking off in late May at the MXGP of Spain, the remaining four rounds take place alongside three further stops on the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar. After visiting France and Germany, the season ends with a bang at the MXGP of Czech Republic on July 16-17 with double header, two-day event where the series champion will be crowned!

To enter the European Junior e-Motocross Series, riders must be aged 6-8 (age taken from January 1, 2022), be affiliated to their national federation, compete on a GASGAS MC-E 5 or similar spec dirt bike, and commit to competing in a minimum of three rounds. The series winner will receive an incredible prize – a trip for them (and one guest) to the FIM Motocross of Nations in the USA in September! In addition, anyone that competes in all five rounds will gain access to an exclusive three-day training camp at the end of the season, together with GASGAS pros! And, each and every rider competing on an GASGAS MC E-5 will receive a selection of cool GASGAS merchandise and accessories to really look the part in the pits.

Rene Esterbauer, GASGAS Head of Global Marketing: “Last year the European Junior e-Motocross Series was amazing and for 2022 it’s going to be even bigger! There’s no better way to introduce e-powered motorsports to a global audience while giving young kids the chance to experience something really special. Up until last year, a racing series at the MXGP World Championship for 6–8-year-olds didn’t exist so for GASGAS to play a huge part in bringing this championship to life, it’s definitely something very special for GASGAS. It’s not too long until the 2022 series starts and like everyone at GASGAS, I can’t wait to see 40 young racers having the time of their lives!”
