British Masters: Foxhill round cancelled due to flooding
Bridgestone British Masters was due to run round two this weekend at the historical Foxhill circuit, but a flooded track means it has been cancelled.
Issuing a statement this morning, bosses said, “It is with deep regret that we inform you that Round 2 at Fox Hill MX Track this weekend is cancelled. We have just had an emergency track update from the land owner and the heavy and frequent downpours of rain have flooded the track and made it unrideable.
“We are currently working on the logistics of the 2021 Bridgestone British Masters calendar and will inform you all of any appropriate updates as soon as possible. Registered riders, we will carry over your Foxhill payment to the new Round 2 which is at Wroxton Motocross Track on the 12 & 13 June.”
“If you would not like us to do this, you must inform us via text message immediately. Wildcards, your entries will be refunded. Please bare with us whilst we action these refunds. Registered riders who have yet not booked in, your payment for the new Round 2 at Wroxton Motocross Track on the 12 & 13 June is now due. You have until Friday 28th May to make payment.
“We are deeply saddened by this outcome however you can all appreciate the weather is out of our control. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we hope to see you all at Wroxton Motocross Track on the 12 & 13 June for Round 2 which will also take the form of the Tommy Morris Memorial Meeting. Thank you for your cooperation.”
