British MX: Lyng to host round two of the championship series

RHL Activities are pleased to announce the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels will be heading back to Cadders Hill for a round of the 2022 Championship on May eighth.

The intertwining, elevated circuit near Norwich, which is run and maintained by the Norwich Viking Motorcycle Club, will host the 125cc/250cc, WMX*, MX2 and MX1 classes at the former Grand Prix circuit.

A sell-out event back in 2021 saw Jeffrey Herlings and Ben Watson thrill the fans with a handlebar to handlebar masterclass to take first and second place, with Championship winner Tommy Searle in third in the MX1 class.

MX2 saw Conrad Mewse winning with full points across the board, and Bailey Johnston who claimed the 125cc honours, moves up to the MX2 for the 2022 campaign, and will be joined in the second tier by last year’s 250cc winner Sam Atkinson.

After the success of the round in 2021 the Norwich Vikings have made some changes for this season to make the event more enjoyable for both riders and spectators. Minor tweaks to the track should provide even more options for overtaking, and improvements to the facilities for the trackside audience, include revised parking area, new two way public track crossing lanes, enhanced catering outlets, and more toilets around the venue.

*WMX will run on the condition that there are 20 riders by the 31st January.
