JMR Foundation launches industry backed Award
Jude Morris Racing Foundation launches annual industry-backed Social Media Award to create a legacy for Jude Morris, via a social media competition.
Why social media? Social media has become part of our everyday lives. It has never been easier to connect with a large audience at the touch of a button.
Whether you are a weekend racer or a top National rider, whatever your age, the JMR Foundation competition is open to you.
The aim is to create a positive and professional image for off road motocross, helping riders build their profiles as their riding and results build. With the aim to create role models who inspire the next generation of riders.
Paul Irwin, off-road business development manager for Race FX Ltd., one of the foundation’s supporters, said: “I look after sponsorship for many leading motocross brands. RFX, Bell Helmets, Fly Racing, Seven MX and Oakley to name a few. Every day I receive requests for sponsorship from riders and obviously I can’t help everybody.”
“One of the first places I look to find out more about a rider is social media. It’s not all about results or how big your following is. For me it’s how marketable are you, will you be able to provide me content worth sharing that will engage with our customers and are you a good role model for our sport.”
“Think about how you are seen by your family, sponsors and competitors. Let’s raise the level and image of riders in the UK and find the next true Pro rider to emerge in our sport. #jmr101”
The competition will start on Tuesday 4th January 2022 and run until October 2022It will be based on Instagram-only and you must use the #JMR101 on your post to qualify.
A shortlist of 10 runners-up will be announced on the first week of October 2022 by an industry panel listed below:

Mark Morris, founder of JMR Foundation said: “If we can create a positive, fun, content-driven annual award and build a legacy for Jude using the #JMR101 this will be a great success. Jude took great care over his social and his media images. Ask anyone of the press at the Nationals, who was the first to ask for images? It was Jude. Why? Because he knew the value of it and understood the sponsorship value. From everyone at JMR Foundation, we look forward to seeing your post and watching this grow. #JMR101”
As well as the above, JMR Foundation will be hosting an online social media workshop for everyone in late January 2022, with details to follow.
