MXGP Lombardia: Lapucci extends championship lead on home soil

Factory Fantic Team Maddi’s Nicolas Lapucci claims a double race win on home soil in Mantova, for the penultimate round of the championship.

Lapucci added another Fox Holeshot to his collection this weekend for the second EMX250 moto of the day in Mantova, followed by WZ Racing Oriol Oliver and SM Action teams Kevin Horgmo following just behind in third place.

Oliver then crashed out of second place, allowing Riley Racing Yamaha’s Hakon Fredrickson to move further up the pack with him ultimately finishing in fifth position, as Kevin Horgmo also makes a mistake on one of the deep sand corners, but managed to pull it back to sixth place.

Lapucci went on to extend his championship lead with a win in both moto’s, claiming first overall for the day followed by Oriol Oliver, and Hakon Fredrickson rounding up the top three podium spots.
