MXGP Lommel: Spies claims EMX2T Overall
Fantic Factory Team Maddi rider Max Spies claimed the EMX2T moto two win and overall result in Lommel this Saturday.
Verde Substance KTM rider Brad Anderson hole shots and leads for the opening lap of the second EMX2T moto, as race one winner and championship leader Max Spies sat down in eighth place for the first few laps.
Tuani soon started to close the door on Anderson ten minutes into the race, and made the pass to check out with over a ten second lead.
Chambers racing Husqvarna Ben Putnam had a great ride just finishing up outside the top five in sixth position making it a 6-6 scorecard for the brit, as Verde sports KTM’s Jake Preston finished up in twelfth.
Tuani made a huge mistake on the last lap sending it over the bars leaving the door wide open for his team mate Spies to pass Anderson and to take the race win, which meant Spied claimed the double win followed by Tuani, Anderson, Spies just ahead of EMX2T wildcard rider Ken De Dycker who was shortly followed by Rene Boer rounding up the top five finishers.
