Vets MXdN: Farleigh Castle race weekend preview

This weekend sees the return of the Vets MX Des Nations at Farleigh Castle with all-star teams set to go head to head in the Wiltshire countryside.

In the Evo team event, reigning champions Belgium will once again be sending the same team as 2019, which features ex World Champion, Steve Ramon, Ken De Dycker, Sven Breugelmans and Filip Van Dijck.

As always, the USA have sent a very strong team comprising Mike Brown, Doug Dubach, Sean Hamblin and Keith Johnson, with the four riders contest both the Evo and the Twinshock team event.

After a last-minute change due to injury, the British Challenge will come from Billy MacKenzie, Kurt Nicholl, Mervyn Anstie and Phil Lewis.

In the Twinshock category British fans will have a strong team of Brad O’Leary, Barry Turnball, Dave Willet and Simon Lane to cheer on around the sixteen-hundred-meter course as they go up against the USA team, along with teams from Denmark, Northern Ireland and Scotland with three out of the four riders needing to score points in every race.

The Team events will be backed up with supporting races with plenty of foreign entries challenging for individual honours against Britain’s best from the seventies, eighties and nineties.

The action starts at 9am on both days and Farleigh Castle is on the Somerset Wiltshire border with the postcode BA2 7RR.

Admission price details can be found here and don’t forget your official programme, put together by the DBR team.
